In our organization we believe that children should have classes that create a friendly and soothing environment for their school performance, and most schools in Morocco in general have the same color walls, without much life and that is why with the help of volunteers we want to give them color and bring happiness to the children who study in those school.
Having experience is not necessary in this project, since it is essential to help the team to paint or if you know how to draw you can make your own designs, you can do it so that your colleagues can paint.
This project consist in making the schools of Errachidia decent. We start sanding down walls and windows to be able to put a uniform colour base. One this part is done, we restore and paint the window. And finally, we paint and decorate the walls with draws and sentences.
- What type of accommodation is there? The accommodation will depend on the chosen project, for example, if you choose the Easter project, the accommodation will be in shelters and hotels, and if your project is the summer one then you will be in a school with basic facilities adapted to accommodate the volunteers (kitchen, showers, dining room, mat-tresses and cushions ... you have to bring your sheets from home).
- What type of food is there? A Moroccan cook will prepare typical dishes of the country's gastronomy. All volunteers will be responsible for washing their dishes and keeping their spaces, clothes, etc. clean.
- When to apply? The inscription will close the 31st of May or when all the vacancies have been filled.
- How much does the project cost? In Errachidia municipality the cost is 360 euros that includes three meals per day, accommodation in a hotel, project materials, transportation with a local during all the stay and pick up in Marrakech airport. In Errachidia city center the price is 240 euros that includes three meals per day, accommodation, project materials and the pick up in Marrakech airport. It is not included in the price: plane ticket, the return from Errachidia to the airport, the excursions and the travel insurance. P.S: you can apply to one of our grants that can cover up to 100% of the stay cost.
- Why are some projects more expensive than others: We have some projects that are in the center of the city of Errachidia and there are others that are in the outskirts, the projects that are on the outskirts are difficult to get accommodation for, therefore, we need to stay in a hotel and a transport that we take to where we are going to work. However, the projects that are in the city are all close by, so in the first case the cost of the project is higher than in the second one.
- How many hours are you going to work during the stay? You are going to work 6 hours: 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.
